Nishant Baranwal Somy is a Final Year Dual Degree student at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. His current interests lie in the domain of Distributed Systems, Operating Systems, and Database Systems, and he has taken several academic projects spanning these areas. Nishant has worked on domains such as containerized applications and blockchain as part of his internship projects. He is also exploring the field of Machine Learning and has taken some relevant courses. Currently, he is working on serverless cloud computing as part of his Master's Thesis Project. Nishant has a keen interest in learning new tools and technologies and likes to apply his knowledge to build better products. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at Google. In the past, he has worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Operating Systems (Theory and Lab) course and Discrete Structures course at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. Nishant has completed his B.Tech+M.Tech (Dual Degree) in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 2020. He has also completed his AISSCE(Class XII) in Science(PCM+CS+English) from Kendriya Vidyalaya in 2014 and AISSE(CBSE) from Kendriya Vidyalaya in 2012. Nishant's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Blockchain, and Machine Learning. He has a relevant experience of 3.61 years. Nishant is a highly motivated individual who is always ready to take up new challenges and learn new skills.
